Sketches from Brooklyn Museum

Yesterday I was in Brooklyn Museum with a Central Park Sketch Meetup group. Unfortunately, I could not stay long there, so I only finished 2 pieces. These are sculpture drawings. One is a slave and another one is young faun. There are many beautiful sculptures in Brooklyn Museum. I hope I will have time to return to the museum and draw some of them.
I realized that my sketchbook is too small for this kind of work (only 5.5 in by 9 in), so I am buying a new larger one! So next time, I will be more prepared. I need to remember to take an eraser with me next time too!
Nevertheless, I enjoyed drawing very much!

IF: Journey

Many Russian folk tales are about a knight who embarks on a journey. At some point, he comes to a crossroad with 3 roads. There is also a stone with a sign that tells what he will get (or lose) if he chooses a particular road. For example, "If you'll go to the left, you'll lose your horse. If you'll go to the right, you'll lose your head. If you'll go straight ahead, you'll find a dragon"...

IF: King

naked king on a hoarse
This is a king from The Emperor's New Clothes tale. I enjoy this smart tale very much. I also enjoyed drawing it even though I did not have enough time to work on it. I think that this is my first time drawing hoarse or king :) They are both gorgeous, aren't they?

New Watercolors: Value study and Still life

Recently, I have had some free time. I decided to use it as much as I can and paint with watercolor. My biggest achievement is that I enjoyed painting very much!

Summer in watercolor - 2

There is another watercolor that I accomplished recently. I tried new things. I do not like everything in this picture, but, overall, I think it is not bad.

A little bit of summer in watercolor

I like watercolor since my childhood. Every time I use it, I am a child again. I like to mix all colors.
I couldn't resist painting this summer still life with watercolor.

IF: Universe

Wasn't Arnold Schwarzenegger a Mr Universe?

IF: Retro

I drew this picture for IF topic 'Retro', but I finished it too late. However, I still want to submit it here, because I spent a lot of time on it (and I kind of proud of myself too).

Just a quick sketch...

Pay attention or you will see a spark!
(It happened to me once)
